課程概述 |
Course Description
This course is a more advanced version of Consecutive Interpretation (I). Interpretation practice will be focused on topics of greater technicality including Economics, Politics, Science / Technology, Ecology. There will be a gradual shift toward interpretation from Language A (Chinese) to Language B (English).

Course Objectives
Students are expected to be able to take legible notes, construct them and interpret an oral message between English and Chinese of at least 3 minutes long on topics of various degrees of technicality and interpret them with great fluency, accuracy; or if possible, aim at greater precision and style to achieve professional standard.

Requirements
1. Your participation in Interpretation practice is essential. Each performance will be evaluated and graded.
2. Since this is a practice course, attendance and involvement is essential. Unexcused absence for over 1/5 of the class hours will result in your failure in the course.
3. Home assignments in the form of recorded interpretation practice and journal writing will be required.
4. Be prepared to give presentations or stage panel discussions in Language A/B.
